4 People Were Arrested For Killing Cumberland County Detective Monica Mosley

Cumberland: The murder of a Cumberland County detective earlier this month inside her Bridgeton, New Jersey, home has led to the arrest and charging of four individuals. The murder of 51-year-old Monica Mosley was charged against Richard Willis, 32, of Gloucester City, Jarred Brown, 31, of Bridgeton, and Nyshawn Mutcherson, 29, of Vineland. The 38-year-old Cyndia Pimentel is also accused of impeding the inquiry into Mosley’s death.

Mosley’s Death

On October 15, 2024, at about 10:30 p.m., Bridgeton Police were summoned to the 600 block of Buckshutem Road in response to a report of multiple individuals kicking in a residence’s front door. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mosley with a gunshot wound. At the scene, Mosley, a detective sergeant with the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office, passed away from her wounds.

A individual who had received treatment for a gunshot wound was taken into custody for interrogation at Cooper University Hospital in Camden by New Jersey State Police troopers after the inquiry took authorities to Inspira Hospital in Bridgeton. Mutcherson, Brown, Willis, and Pimentel were later named by investigators as suspects in Mosley’s murder.
