Drivers And A 2-year-old Were Hurt In A Crash At George’s Creek

PEKIN: The Allegany County Department of Emergency Services reports that following a two-vehicle crash late on Wednesday afternoon on Lower Georges Creek Road in the Pekin area, the driver of an all-terrain automobile & a 2-year-old passenger were wounded & flown by helicopter of Maryland State Police for treatment.

A passenger car’s driver also received injuries, and Tri-Towns ambulance and a county DES crew transported him to a hospital for care. It seems that none of the wounds were potentially fatal.

After the 5:45 p.m. crash in the 17000 block of Lower Georges Creek Road, the child & the father of the child were listed in stable & good health, respectively, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.

The crash investigation is still ongoing by the Maryland State Police. Following an alarm from the Allegany County 911 Joint Communications Center, the volunteer fire companies of Barton and Good Will also arrived on the scene.
