CUMBERLAND: A young person who was hurt in an incident of hit-and-run in Cumberland on Thursday night is being treated at a hospital. The incident happened just before 10 p.m., according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, near the 1100 block of North Cumberland Road. Officers arrived and found a male adolescent who had been hit by a car at the time when he was riding his bike south on the edge of the street.
The little victim’s condition was critical when they were brought to Riley Hospital. The allegedly suspicious car left the scene. Wilberto Rivera III, 14, was the victim’s age, according to his family. He is battling for his life. The juvenile’s bike lacked lights and reflectors, according to IMPD.
