The varsity cheering staff was the target of accusations of bullying & other inappropriate behavior, and the Cumberland Valley School District claimed that they had concluded their thorough investigation into these claims.
The Cumberland Valley School District opened an investigation in June when parents and students started reporting incidents of bullying, breaking anti-discrimination laws, and other similar behavior directed at the cheerleading staff of the High School.
The board stated that they hired a private legal company to lead the inquiry, which comprised a thorough examination of all assertions, declarations, and supporting documentation from each party.
The board announced at the conclusion of the investigation that the independent firm had not discovered any evidence to substantiate the accusations made in opposition to the coaches.
Having stated that, the district received recommendations from the firm about coaching methods and program management for sports. According to the board, the administration will take steps to guarantee accountability within its sports programs.
It will also support retaining the present coaching staff in accordance with the firm’s recommendations. The district board stated they will keep taking the required steps to maintain standards, but they did not elaborate on the actions being taken.
