Cumberland: The boss of two men who were shot and killed on Yarborough Road on Tuesday morning found their bodies after they did not arrive at a pressure washing job in Gray’s Creek at 10:30 a.m., according to 911 calls.
All About The Incident
Around 11:10 a.m., Cumberland County deputies arrived to the residence in the 3600 block of Yarborough Road close to Hope Mills, where they declared two men dead. The victims’ identities are being kept secret by law authorities until they can inform their relatives.
Desmund Louis Moore, 42, is wanted for questioning in connection with the shooting, according to authorities. Moore was previously detained and accused of assaulting and raping a woman in her twenties in 2016.
Multiple Rounds Of Gunshots
Moore, according to authorities, is operating a white 2020 Volkswagen Passat with the NC tag KMY-5114. Authorities were notified by a 911 caller that she heard several rounds being fired but was unsure of the source of the gunshots.
Two bodies were seen close to a work truck owned by NC Window Cleaners, and the driveway leading to the house was shut off. The work truck’s driver-side window was broken. On the ground, there were at least ten evidence markers that might be used to identify gun shell cases from the fired bullets.
911 Caller
When a lady who was thought to be Wiggs’ wife called 911, she claimed to be the homeowner and stated that she was secure inside the house but could see the front of the gate on CCTV. According to the woman, her husband was on his way home after being called about what had happened.
Someone who claimed to have worked with the men made another 911 call. Both victims were declared dead at the scene, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. They did not reveal their names.
