CRESAPTOWN — Tuesday’s Mason-Dixon Christian Conference playoff opening saw No. 5 Calvary sweep Broadfording. With scores of 25-10, 25-4, and 25-11, the Eagles (16-7) prevailed. John Wall, the head coach of Calvary, stated, “We played really well tonight against Broadfording.”
“We have arguably played at our best this season. We are peaking at the ideal moment of the season, in my opinion. Paula Ganoe had nine digs, seven aces, and sixteen kills in the end. Madie Robinette had two aces, four digs, nine assists, and eleven kills.
Kaitlyn Bender contributed six digs, four kills, and three aces, while Allie Maust finished with 17 assists and five digs. At 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, No. 2 seed Calvary takes against No. 3 seed Heritage. Wall stated, “We must be prepared for Heritage.”
Homecoming with a victory

Allegany (3-8, 1-4 WestMAC, 1-1 City League) will host Fort Hill (5-2 Western Maryland Athletic Conference, 2-0 City League) on Thursday for Homecoming. With a victory, the Sentinels may secure the city title. JV begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by varsity.
