Authorities said Tuesday that a suspect was taken into custody in relation to the several shootings that occurred at the DNC Tempe headquarters. Tempe police have charged the same guy with hanging strange packets of white powder from a number of razor-bladed political posters in Ahwatukee.
No One Was Hurt In The Second Attack
On September 16, just after midnight, gunfire damage was initially found at a Democratic campaign office in Tempe. Investigators discovered that a BB, or pellet gun had been used to shoot at the front windows.
When employees arrived at the workplace a week later, they discovered additional gunshot damage to the front glass. Despite the fact that no one was hurt in the second attack, Tempe Police Sgt. Ryan Cook stated that the situation was dangerous.
Issues Regarding Safety Of The People
In a news release the day following the second shooting, Cook stated, “Although no one was inside the office during the overnight hours, this raises worries regarding the safety of the people who work in that building, also those nearby.”
Earlier this month, the most recent shooting occurred. Three different gunshot events occurred, and none of them involved anyone in the office.
To identify the suspect and offer additional information about the case, the Police Department of Tempe will have a press conference on Wednesday. No other information was made public.
