SAN ANTONIO –While the wife has been missing for almost two weeks, the husband of the missing woman is facing new charges, and his business associate has been detained. Brad Simpson and his wife, Suzanne Simpson, allegedly got into a fight at a club on Sunday, October 6, between 10 and 11 p.m., according to Olmos Park Police Chief Fidel Villegas.
It was not until Brad Simpson reported his wife missing 24 hours later that police were made aware of the altercation. When the Olmos Park Police started looking into the disappearance of Suzanne Simpson, they discovered that the couple’s argument at the club “could have gotten physical.”
According to Villegas, Simpson was arrested on allegations of assault with bodily injury and unlawful restraint because he was not cooperating with the authorities. Since then, he has also been accused of having a prohibited weapon and tampering with evidence.
Getting control over the body
A neighbor reportedly saw the couple fighting on the evening of October 6th, according to court documents that True Crime News was able to get. According to the investigation, the neighbor saw Brad Simpson “grabbing her upper torso area to gain control of her body.”
According to reports, Suzanne Simpson “was attempting to get away from Mr. Simpson’s grasp as he tried to pull her downward.” According to reports, the neighbor heard shouts after going outside to see how things were going.
There hasn’t been any action on Suzanne Simpson’s phone since it last ping-ed to a parking lot early on October 7. According to the affidavit, Suzanne Simpson usually picked up her children from school, but on the afternoon of October 7, she failed to appear. According to investigators, Brad Simpson visited his Bandera property because he was “separating himself from his family.”
As reported by her teacher, their youngest kid, a 5-year-old girl, claimed that her parents had been “fighting” and “that her dad had hit her mom in the face and possibly pushed her into a wall.” She claimed that her father had taken away her mother’s phone and that her mother had a bruise on her elbow.
According to WOAI-TV,According to Suzanne Simpson’s relatives, the pair had previously become violent. Since Suzanne Simpson was reported missing, authorities have been looking for her, but they haven’t located her yet. According to KSAT-TV,On October 15, police began searching for a Bexar County landfill for her remains, a process that took several days to complete.
In an announcement at the time, Villegas stated, “We feel confident there is a good chance of recovering Suzanne at that location.” James Vallee Cotter, Brad Simpson’s business partner and buddy, was recently detained by the Texas Rangers for tampering with evidence.Brad Simpson allegedly texted Cotter on October 8th, asking him to “haul a– to meet me” at Cotter’s residence, according to KSAT.
According to investigators, Simpson allegedly requested Cotter to fetch his firearm from his house. After securing a search warrant for Cotter’s residence, authorities found a fully automatic AK-47 concealed behind a wall. They allegedly discovered comparable firearms in a gun room while searching Simpson’s home. Simpson has a $3 million total bond for all of his accusations.
