After gangs shot multiple planes on Monday, the Federal Aviation Administration prohibited flights to Haiti for 30 days, but Royal Caribbean says it will not cancel stops there.

“Our first concern is the safety and security of our visitors, staff, and the communities we visit. The situation in Haiti is constantly monitored by our Global Security and Intelligence Team. As of right now, our scheduled itineraries remain unchanged,” a Royal Caribbean representative informed NBC6.
Additionally, the United Nations announced on Tuesday that it has temporarily halted flights to the capital, thereby restricting the flow of humanitarian aid into the nation.
As a Spirit aircraft was ready to touch down in the nation’s capital on Monday, bullets struck it, wounding a flight attendant and causing the airport to close.
American Airlines and JetBlue reported that their aircraft had also been shot at while they were departing the airport.
Following a politically turbulent process, Haiti swore in a new prime minister, and the gunshots were part of a wave of violence that broke out throughout the country.
