Officers claim that Elmore beat Sgt. Sanfratello on the head with a metal chain after returning with it. Additionally, according to the officers, Wilcox struck Sgt. Sanfratello while he was making an arrest. The 32-year veteran of the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office passed away on the spot after losing consciousness.
