In south Fargo, an officer-involved shooting occurred Wednesday morning, leaving one person dead. Police arrived at the 6100 block of 61st Avenue South at around 10:15 a.m.
Officers were sent to a person who was suicidal. Officers discovered a man was armed when they got there. Officers tried to reach him while emergency medical services were set up nearby.
After approximately forty minutes, according to the police, the man exited the house brandishing a revolver, and cops pulled their weapons.
A 65-year-old male was declared deceased at the scene, according to the police.
In anticipation of the investigation’s conclusion, the concerned officers have been placed on administrative leave.
One of them is an officer with eight months of service, and the other is a Sergeant with eight years.
The North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation (NDBCI) has been tasked by the department with conducting the investigation.
