A man and an adolescent have been taken into custody in relation to a body discovered in Hartford on Saturday, wrapped in a blanket.

Around seven in the morning, police were summoned to Pope Park Highway in response to a body discovery complaint.

There, according to the police, they discovered a man’s body wrapped in a comforter. When the body was brought to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, authorities said, it was discovered that he had been shot several times.

Edgar Jose Martinez, an 18-year-old Hartford resident, was eventually recognized by authorities as the deceased.

What Investigators Said?

According to investigators, the gunshot occurred in an apartment located at 158 Magnolia Street approximately a day prior. According to authorities, the body was put on Pope Park Highway approximately twenty-four hours prior to its discovery.

When police and investigators arrived at the flat, they discovered signs of a crime scene. A suspect vehicle was located, and suspect information was created.

Around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, the car was spotted driving on Park Terrace by members of the Community Patrol Division, Southwest Community Service Officers, and Hartford Police Vice and Narcotics Division. The suspects were apprehended once the car was halted.

According to the police, Sender Soto-Veliz, 21, of Hartford, is accused of tampering with evidence and obstructing prosecution, while a 17-year-old male is charged with murder and evidence tampering.
