Arrest of Shooting Suspect with Weapon in Car Outside of Home

The suspect in the fatal shooting outside a booze store on Monday afternoon has been taken into custody by police. The incident took place outside the Friendship Wine & Liquors.

The place is located adjacent to a Wawa in the 3500 block of Woodsdale Road, at approximately 4:08 p.m. on November 4. When police came, they discovered Bel Air resident Eric Chi Fonong Igwacho, 27, had been wounded in the lower torso.

According to the police, the victim and the suspect were acquainted. Harford County Sheriff’s Office said Igwacho was transported to a nearby trauma facility for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Culprit Identified

The culprit was identified by detectives as Aberdeen resident Justin Matthew Schlotterbeck, 41.

Detectives charged Schlotterbeck with attempted first-degree murder and other shooting-related offenses, and they obtained an arrest warrant.

Schlotterbeck was discovered by deputies in his car parked in front of his house. He was apprehended without any problems.

Detectives discovered and seized a disassembled firearm during a search of his car, according to authorities.
