KEYSER— Over the course of the weekend, the Personal Best/Hartley’s/Ledo’s Pizza Patriots defeated the Keyser Steelers 50-0, with Levi House accounting for 145 yards in total and three touchdowns. With the win, the team will play the unbeaten Braddock Warriors on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the newly constructed Allegany High School football field.
The victor will have homefield advantage in the playoffs and be crowned the regular season champion of the Cumberland Area Youth Football League. Both teams are 6-0. House had a 30-yard touchdown run and passed for two more, a 35-yard pass to Jayvon Emerson and a seven-yard toss to Gabe Babyak. Against the Steelers, House ran for 70 yards and completed four passes for 75 yards.
In addition, Emerson opened the Patriots’ 30-point first quarter with a 5-yard touchdown run. At the half, it was 50-0. Jaiden Beck (18), Mason Davis (5), and Nathaniel Rivera (40) all scored touchdowns.
Passing sixteen yards
Beck was the most prolific rusher with 75 yards on five carries, followed by Emerson with 35 and Rivera and Bubby Hawley with 55 each. Owen Clites passed for 16 yards on two tries, had a 15-yard run and a 17-yard reception.
With seven tackles, Rivera led the group, followed by Hawley with six. Babyak, Davis, Beck, House, and Roy Easterling all had five. Easterling, House, Babyak, and Clites all recovered from fumbles. The Patriots (5-0) defeated Keyser 28-0 in the Division 2 match, and they will take on Braddock (5-0) on Sunday at 4 p.m. at Allegany.
