Cumberland: Students from Cumberland Trace Elementary School had the opportunity to assist the City of Bowling Green in planning the significant rehabilitation and growth of the recently constructed Riverfront Park.
Artwork For Future Riverfront Park
They were instructed to create artwork by sketching out their visions of what Riverfront Park would look like. One student shows what she sketched and how she sees the park developing over time. The artwork created by children at various elementary schools will be transported to middle schools for the project’s next phase, where students will utilise it as inspiration to create narratives about Riverfront Park. A book will be produced using both narrative and artwork.
