CINCINNATI: Throughout the afternoon, Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow exchanged touchdown passes. The Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals had a crazy game that ended in overtime with a huge run and a chip-shot kick.
Following a 51-yard rush by Derrick Henry to tie the Ravens at the Bengals 6, Justin Tucker scored a 41-yard field goal to give Baltimore the victory on Sunday. With 1:35 remaining in regulation, Tucker tied the score with a 56-yard field goal. The game included almost 700 yards of throwing, including nine touchdown passes.
Scoring a huge run
Coach John Harbaugh of Baltimore described the second half as “a shootout, a flat-out shootout.” “That was a fantastic victory over a highly skilled team.”
Following a bungled snap, Evan McPherson of Cincinnati missed a 53-yard field goal, setting up Tucker’s winning field goal. That gave Baltimore the ball at its own 43. Henry then scored a huge run for the Ravens (3-2) on the following play.
Three times in the second half, Jackson gave the Bengals (1-4) a 10-point lead, but Jackson always rallied the Ravens. With 8:54 remaining, Burrow’s screen ball to Ja’Marr Chase resulted in a 70-yard touchdown run, giving the Bengals a 38-28 lead.
