A video of MSNBC host Rachel Maddow “breaking down” live on air has gone popular on social media amid rumors that billionaire Elon Musk plans to acquire the network.
Several users claimed that girl was crying because Musk had made memes about buying MSNBC, as the video became viral on X.
With the message, “And lead us not into temptation….,” the CEO of Tesla shared a meme featuring a lady baring her body next to a man who appears to be a priest attempting to keep his chastity.
The video shows Maddow becoming upset live on air and includes the same meme that Musk uploaded.
“Drama queen extraordinaire, Rachel Maddow, cries over meme on national TV when she realizes Elon could become her boss,” one user remarked after sharing the video.
One commenter commented on the video, saying, “No, he won’t be her boss, as he will sack her.”
Shortly later, the manipulated video went viral, claiming Maddow broke down in tears over the idea of Musk acquiring MSNBC.
Some commenters took advantage of the opportunity to make fun of Maddow, saying she was being too dramatic. She cried because “her cash cow was ending,” according to some comments, while others implied that Musk would “sack her” if he bought the network.
