Drivers and a two-year-old were hurt in a crash at George’s Creek

PEKIN: Following a two-vehicle collision late Wednesday afternoon on Lower Georges Creek Road in the Pekin area, the driver of an all-terrain vehicle and a 2-year-old passenger were hurt and transported by Maryland State Police helicopter for medical attention, according to the Allegany County Department of Emergency Services. 

Wounds are not life threatening

A county DES team and a Tri-Towns ambulance transported the injured driver of a passenger car to a hospital for medical attention. It appears that the wounds were not life-threatening.

Following the 5:45 p.m. crash in the 17000 block of Lower Georges Creek Road, the child and the child’s father were reportedly listed in stable and good health, respectively, at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.

The Maryland State Police is still looking into the collision. As soon as the Allegany County 911 Joint Communications Center sent out an alarm, the volunteer fire companies of Barton and Good Will also arrived on the site.
