A family, including a kid, has been named by police and family members as having perished in a three-vehicle collision in northwest Miami-Dade over the weekend.
The collision occurred in the vicinity of Northwest 72nd Avenue and Northwest 74th Street just before one in the morning on Saturday.
According to Miami-Dade Police, the three adults and the minor were in a vehicle that was heading south when the collision occurred. A family member informed NBC6 that her sister’s husband was the driver of a black vehicle that allegedly ran a red light.
One lady and the boy were taken to nearby hospitals, where they passed away from their wounds, while a man and woman were declared dead at the site.

The two ladies were identified by authorities on Monday as Liudmila Lara Rodriguez, 29, and her mother, Lainet Guarita Rodriguez, 48.
According to family members, the collision also claimed the lives of Liudmila Lara Rodriguez’s husband, Jose Yance, and her son, Bryan Cardoso, age eight.
On the site, there found a car with significant damage next to a pickup truck with similar damage.
There were no other recorded injuries. According to Miami-Dade Police, the incident’s precise cause is still being looked into.
