FROSTBURG — Cat Smith of Frostburg State won the Mountain East Conference (MEC) Defensive Player of the Week award for the second time this season.Smith guided the Bobcat defense (9-1-1, 7-1-1 MEC) to victories over Concord 2-1 and Davis & Elkins 4-0 without a loss.
Smith tried three shots and scored the game-winning goal against the Senators.The Senators only attempted three attempts on goal as a result of her defensive efforts.
Smith played 90 minutes and assisted Frostburg in limiting Concord to three goals against the Mountain Lions.On Wednesday at 6 p.m., the Bobcats travel to West Virginia State.
