Bridgeton: A Cumberland County detective was shot and murdered Tuesday night during a home invasion in Bridgeton, New Jersey, and his family is in grief. Near 10:30 p.m., Bridgeton Police received a call about multiple individuals kicking in a home’s front door in the 600 block of Buckshutem Road. They discovered 51-year-old Monica Mosley wounded by a bullet when they got there. At the scene, Mosley, a sergeant with the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office, passed away from her wounds.
Interrogation To Thr Suspect
A individual who had received treatment for a gunshot wound was taken into custody for interrogation at Cooper University Hospital in Camden by New Jersey State Police troopers after the inquiry took authorities to Inspira Hospital in Bridgeton.
However, as of Wednesday, no charges had been brought against that individual, and they remain unidentified. A potential motive for the shooting has not yet been disclosed by investigators. The investigation is being conducted by Bridgeton Police, the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office, and New Jersey State Police.

According to Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae, she joined the office in 2009 as a county detective and worked in a number of areas, including trial teams, the Special Victims Unit, the Community Justice Unit, and Internal Affairs, where she was a Unit Supervisor.
