Murder Victims’ Family Sue Miami Gardens Apartment Complex, Citing Lack Of Security

Miami: A Miami Gardens apartment complex is being sued by three families who claim that the property did not do enough to keep their loved ones safe. In separate events last year, two men were shot and killed inside Cedar Grove Apartments, located at 20601 NW 17th Ave.

Lawsuit Filed By Victim’s Family

Another lawsuit is being filed by the family of a 19-year-old resident who was hurt in a shooting. There have been no arrests. Marcia Dixon lost her son Edward a year ago, and she has been grieving ever since. When Edward was torn from this world, he was at the height of his powers. Robin Gore, whose son was slain in a separate incident there six months later, is also suffering from a great loss.

Press Conference Attended By Victim’s Family

Dixon and White’s families attended a press conference. The owners and operators of Cedar Grove Apartment Complex were required by Florida law to maintain sufficient security against criminal behaviour that was reasonably foreseeable. No security gate was present. In a deposition submitted by the family’s lawyers, the property manager was questioned about security concerns following previous events.
