Suspect arrested in Tempe DNC office shootings

TEMPE, Ariz. – A series of attacks on the DNC Tempe office resulted in an arrest, and there was also an incident in Ahwatukee with razor blades and political signs. Hours after the Ahwatukee event, on October 22, the arrest was announced. 

The unnamed suspect was “arrested for hanging suspicious bags of white powder from several political signs lined with razor blades …” on October 22, according to the police.

Investigation is on

Investigators were observed removing a sign that stated “DEMS LIE” from a tree close to Chandler Boulevard and 44th Street.

In September, there were two distinct gunfire incidents at the DNC office. October was the last time. These occurrences did not result in any injuries.

How the investigators were able to connect the suspect to the incidents was not disclosed. According to police, details about the suspect won’t be made public until a press conference on Wednesday, October 23.
