The trash heap that was left strewn across a Brickell street over the weekend was not the City of Miami’s fault, according to the city. On Sunday, the trash heaps near 1395 Brickell Avenue were photographed by cameras.

The trash was left behind by a private waste business, the city told NBC6, but it’s unclear if that was done on purpose or accidentally.

While Solid Waste workers arrived on the site to clean up, City of Miami Police blocked off the street.

According to a city official, the City of Miami was not engaged in this incident; rather, it may have involved a private garbage firm.

To ascertain the cause and guarantee adherence to all rules, they are presently looking into this issue further.
