CUMBERLAND- On Monday, October 21, 2024, Anna Belle Twigg, 87, of Cumberland, died at UPMC Western Maryland.She was born in Elkins, West Virginia, on November 27, 1936. Her parents were Virginia Mae (Bodkin) Lawrence and the late Ashby Lawrence. Along with her parents, her husband, James C. Twigg, and daughter, Lawana Belle (Twigg) Swan, also passed away before her. She took care of her spouse and kids at home.
During her husband’s lifetime, they loved riding Harleys and bowling in local leagues.Sons James A. Twigg and wife Sherry and Chris D. Twigg and wife Rosemary are still alive, as are grandchildren Tonya Ross, Bruce and wife Misty Dawn Dotson, and J.J. Twigg and wife Missy; Crystal Alexander and her husband, Mike; a sister, Sherry Kearns; a brother, Donald Lawrence and his wife, Shirley; a sizable extended family; great-grandchildren, Haylee, McKinlee, Miabella, Jet, Arneshia, Anthony, Tim, and Gary; and a number of great-great grandkids.
The Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown, will be open for visits on Friday, October 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. At 1pm, there will be a funeral ceremony, officiated by Rev. Harold McClay.Richard Twigg, Virgil Lawrence, Todd Lawrence, Tory Lawrence, Bruce Dotson, and J.J. Twigg will all be pallbearers.She and her spouse will be buried in Restlawn Memorial Gardens in LaVale, Maryland.
