CUMBERLAND- On Saturday, October 19, 2024, Judith “Judy” Ann (Witt) Burkett, 73, of Mount Savage, Maryland, died quietly at home with her loved ones by her side. Mrs. Burkett was born in Cumberland, Maryland, on August 21, 1951. Her parents were Donna (Wertz) Witt and the late Herbert “Herb” Witt.
Judy used to work as a housekeeper for Dr. Zaman and his family at the Green Arrow Restaurant in the County Market. She enjoyed cooking, shopping, and hunting for antiques.
Judy Burkett, Sr., her husband of 54 years, Timothy Burkett (Jenna) of Mount Savage, Md.; her sons, Timothy Burkett, Jr. (Dina) of Saint Robert, Mo.; Jason Burkett of Hyndman, Pa.; and Timothy Burkett (Jenna) of Mount Savage, Md.; her grandchildren, Michael Burkett (Jessica); Tiarra Burkett, Brandon Burkett, Hunter Burkett, Hunter Burkett, Brandon Burkett, and River Burkett; her great-grandchildren, Braxton Burkett, Maddox Burkett, Brexley Burkett, Brexley Burkett, Millie Moore; and Zaely Mae; her siblings, Robert Witt (Carrie); and Donald Witt (Sharon); her brothers-and-sisters-in-law, Sue Aldridge, Connie, and Denny Martin; and Louanne Schircliff are all survived.On Tuesday, October 22, 2024, from 3 to 7 p.m., the Wellersburg Volunteer Fire Hall will host a Celebration of Life.
